How much does the Pay Per Ride Pass cost?
The Pay Per Ride Pass in UBC costs $1.00 to unlock and $0.15 per minute thereafter. To get started with the Pay Per Ride plan, there is a $10.00 minimum top-up amount. As you use your pass, the cost of your rides will be subtracted from your top-up amount.
What happens if the cost of my ride is more than my account balance?
If you are using the Pay Per Ride option and your account balance isn’t sufficient to cover the cost of your ride, your credit card will be automatically charged a minimum top-up of $2. If your ride cost is less than $2, the remaining balance can be used toward future rides.
How much does a 30 Day Pass cost?
A 30 Day Pass costs $25 per month. The Pass includes 60 minutes of ride time per calendar day (“Daily Riding Time”). During each calendar day included in the 30 days for which your pass is valid, you may use your entire allotted Daily Ride Time in one trip, or in multiple trips. Each calendar day your 60-minute allotment begins again and does NOT accumulate any unused Daily Riding Time from previous days. If you exceed your allotted Daily Riding Time in any one calendar day, you will be charged at a $0.10 per minute rate for the remainder of said calendar day. UBC-Affiliates are eligible for discounted rates.
When does my 30 Day Pass expire?
Your 30 Day Pass begins on the day you sign up and expires 30 days afterwards.
Will my 30 Day Pass be automatically renewed every month?
You can choose to automatically renew your pass by selecting “Auto-Renew” in the Pass Details section of the app. This feature can be toggled on or off in the duration of your plan before it expires.
How many times can I use HOPR with a 30 Day Pass?
You may use your 30 Day Pass as many times as you want. However, you are limited to 60 minutes of ride time per calendar day (“Daily Riding Time”). If you exceed the alotted 60 minutes, you will be charged at a $0.10 rate for the remainder of the calendar day.

Yes, bikes parked outside of a HOPR Pond will incur a $2 out-of-hub fee.
I was charged more than I was expecting, why?
If you noticed extra fees on your account, it’s likely from taking a ride longer than your HOPR Pass’ allotted ride time. 30 Day Passes and 365 Day Passes include 60 minutes of Daily Riding Time per calendar day. If you exceed the Daily Riding Time for your pass type, you will be charged f $0.10 per minute.
How do I know if I was charged an overage fee?
You can check your payment history by navigating to Wallet through the main menu within the HOPR Transit App.
