Share-A-Bull, the bike share system you love, has gotten a major upgrade! It’s now a whole lot easier to sign-up, ride and enjoy bike share at the University of South Florida. A lot has changed, so read on to gain a better understanding of how we’ve made the system more user-friendly. To get riding, download the HOPR Transit App on your iPhone or Android device.

Have an existing Share-A-Bull plan or credit?

If you have an existing plan or credit, we have applied the value of what remains on your pass to the new HOPR system. You can use this credit towards any Pay Per Ride trips you take.

To access your credit download the HOPR Transit App and sign up with the same phone number associated with your Share-A-Bull account. After you download the app and sign in you will have access to credit in your Wallet, which you can find in the menu.

What’s New!

New Bikes

Keep your eye out for a brand new fleet of 150 GPS-enabled bikes with dockless technology around The University of South Florida. The blue “Coast” bikes can be locked by pushing down on the lever located near the rear wheel.

Dockless Technology

With dockless bike share, you have the flexibility of ending a ride outside of hubs. Or end your ride inside dedicated bike share parking zones or “HOPR Ponds”, identified by a physical structure or as a shaded green are in the HOPR Transit app.

New System Area

At USF, the system area will now include off-campus housing, making student and faculty commutes even easier. The system area has been expanded to include the neighborhoods of Park Place of Tampa, Sweetwater Oaks, and Vieux Carre. Before riding a Coast Powered by HOPR bike, please familiarize yourself with the system area map, available on our app or at gohopr.com/tampabay. You may be subject to a $25 fee if ending your ride outside of the system area.

HOPR Transit App

Download the HOPR Transit App on your iPhone or Android device to locate and unlock the Coast bikes in the University of South Florida. Just click the “unlock” and scan the QR located on the handlebar. The SoBi platform is still used in St. Petersburg and Tampa.
