HOPR brings shared electric bikes to St. Pete. Florida

It’s about to get a whole lot easier to unlock, ride, and enjoy Coast Bike Share. Today, a fleet of 100 electric bikes will be added to Coast Bike Share in St. Pete.  You can now ride faster, further and enjoy St. Petersburg without breaking a sweat.

The addition of electric bikes was made possible through a public-private partnership between the City of St. Petersburg and HOPR.

Riders will be able to unlock and ride the e-bikes by simply scanning a QR code via the HOPR Transit app, available in iOS and Android. The same app and membership can be used to access the bikes in Tampa as well.

E-bikes will be available to rent on a pay-per-ride; $1.00 to unlock and $0.35 per minute. You may also purchase a monthly or annual membership starting at $25 per month.

Discounted passes are available for students and through Coast Bikes equity program.  Download the HOPR Transit app.

Mayor Kriseman: “We’re excited to continue the good work in making bicycling and walking easier transportation choices for our St. Pete residents and visitors. With the addition of e-bikes, more people will be able to see and experience all that makes St. Pete a great city to live, work, and play.”
